Welcome to O2gruppen a non profit organisation.
Our technologies work for fast remedy to an important and difficult problem. We provide several different solutions for the benefit of the enviroment in the Baltic Sea, watch the movies to get some knowledge about our different techniques for restoring the balance of salinity and oxygenation in the Baltic Sea. We apologize all information of all of our innovations is not translated into english, but we work to get more information online.

The Åland-Wing
This is our latest newcomer into the family of enviromental friendly technology for the Baltic Sea. The wing in plastic material is utilizing the earths rotation for pumping immense volumes of water, to oxygenate, and detoxificate hydrogen sulphur contaminated watermasses. Åland-Wing has no moving parts, and require no external source of energy. This device is considered by o2gruppen, to be the best solution for oxygenate the watermasses with less deep and thus no halocline, over the salinity depleting method with the Oxygenplant/Webap. Invention by Stefan Nyström 2007.

Construction cost is 1 Million €uro.
Capacity is 23 cubic kilometer pumping
volume per year.

The Oxygenplant
Also called WEBAP. This is the wavedriven oxygenpump for the Baltic Sea, it uses the wave energy to pump great volumes of oxygen-rich surfacewater to oxygen-lacking depht of choice. The Oxygenplant has no moving parts, and require no external source of energy. In an early stage when we had released our invention Saltlock wich we advocate as the solution for the Baltic Sea, we rejected private funding for this type of invention, because we strongly believe this is not the solution for the baltic sea due to the mixing of fresh water into the halocline. This would quite possible ruin the salinity conditions even further. At that time it was not possible to in a cost efficient way, alter the construction, to an non salt mixing device. However other devices was invented to achieve this, the DOS-Reactor, Salinty-booster and the Breakscreen. Webap is currently undergoing scaled pilot testing. This is done by the state founded, and funded NGO www.ivl.se No official credits for our work from them yet though. Invention by Stefan Nyström and Peter Kjaerboe 2005.

1 Waves is over topping the sloap 2 Water is building up pressure in the storage tank 3 Oxygenrich Water is flowing to depleted dephts. The Oxygenplant/Webap is also possible as shoreline version.

The construction cost is 1 Million €uro.
Capacity is 5 Cubic kilometer pumping volume per year.

The Saltlock
This device use cyclones to get hold of staggering pumping energies, up to equal of 3 nuclear powerplants energy, is used, by directing the currents in the Great Belt in Denmark, we can now add salinity and oxygen, just as the nature itself does it. The Saltlock is just giving nature a helping hand. Patent SE0701263-6 released 2010 for public use. This was made because we dont want to hold the key to the solution to the salinity defficiancy in our hands, while not recieving funding from the government. Although its a big project, we still argue that this might be the only possible solution for the Baltic Sea when the salinity defficiancy due to the hydroelectric installations, is at an all time high .In fact every major inflow is still missing since 1950's

Salinity Defficiancy Baltic Sea.

As salinity holds the key to restore the Baltic Sea, we argue for other countries than Sweden to investigates the possibilities of the Saltlock. Invention by Stefan Nyström and Peter Kjaerboe 2005.

The construction cost is 100 Million €uro.
Capacity is
adjustable up to 200 cubic kilometers pump
volume
per year.

Dos Reactor

The name of the DOS reactor comes from the term Deep Water oxygenation system The. DOS reactor oxygenate the deep saline water without mixing it with the sweeter surface water. With a large propeller driven by residual currents, powered by the earths rotation, can pump energy be recovered, and operates, the pump that lifts the bottom water wich is to be added oxygen ar the surface. The water can also be pumped with an air stream, It pumpes water tothe temporary storage pond, where the wind force oxygenates the water, and hydrogen sulphide can be aired out. The water is then forces down to the bottom again with intact salinity. We have several proposals how the technology with DOS rector can be developed, this model you see first, is located on the surface, but the SUBDOS reactor, can be built, and it is located about 10 meters below the surface, and is less affected by storms, it's also driven by the residual flows, and and requires no external energy source. Invention by Stefan Nyström 2007

The construction cost is 6 million € Euro capacity is 12 cubic kilometers of pump volume per year. Click for large image.

Dos Reactor

SUB DOS Reactor

It operates under the water, wings along the tube captures the power pf the residual streams and extends the tube, thus the build is simpler, and cheaper. Invention by Stefan Nyström 2007

The construction cost is 2 Million €uro, capacity is 4 cubic kilometers pump volume per year. Click for large image.
